2007 Logie Nominations

After several weeks of magazine based voting by Australian readers of TV Week, the final nominatations for the 2007 TV Week Logies have been annouced.
The Logies attempt to highlight the best of Australia's acting talent with an annual award ceremony in which stars are award Logies in varies categories such as Best Actress or Best New Talent.
Traditionally the awards boil down to a popularity contest and are often heavily skewed due to the voting limited to TV Week readers. This has seen frequent complaints that strong actors are overlooked repeatedly and the tendency for some shows to easily outperform others.
2007 doesn't see these trends changing but things are spread a little more evenly throughout the nominations. Nods for the likes of Natalie Blair, Simone Jade Mackinnon and Rachael Carpani help fuel the TV Week bias theme taken to heart by many.
The 2007 TV Week Logie Awards will take place on May 6th 2007.
