A short lived Friends spin off which started after the end of the popular sitcom. Aired on NBC, Joey ran for two seasons before it was cancelled by the network.
The show linked to friends as one of the main characters "Joey Tribbiani" from the show moved out to L.A in an attempt to further his acting career. Once out in L.A he finds himself living with his highly intelligent nephew Michael. The pair get into various interesting situation and are joined by Michael's mother (Joey's sister) and their Neighbour Alex. Joey's luck with women but amazing lack of general knowledge played a big part in the show as did his acting auditions (organised by his new agent Bobbie).
Joey received mixed reaction when it first aired and ultimately failed to live up to it's predecessor which, although a very different show, it tended to be compared to. Public opinion fell away as the first season progressed and, despite having a fairly dedicated following, NBC began shifting it around as the second season aired. News came of Joey's cancellation as the second season of the show drew to a close.
